Your Privicy Policy at uBid4it Canada . .
Your privacy is of the utmost importance. This Privacy Policy is our promise to you regarding the security of your personal information. Below is a list of the information we may collect from you, and what we do with each piece of that information.
Your Username - Your Username is what connects you to an auction in which you are the seller, or have bid on. You choose your own Username, so it is up to you as to whether or not you want it to be personally identifiable. Your Username will be available to other Users of uBid4it Canada through functions on the website.
Your Password - This will never be given out to anyone for any reason. It is very important that you do not give your password out to anyone. Whoever knows your password will be able to see your personal information, as well as assume your identity on our website. If you think someone may know your password, change it immediately. You may do so by clicking the Change Password link at the top of our Home Page, or on the bottom of any page.
Your E-Mail Address - The only time this information is given to any User is at the end of an auction in which you are the seller, or the high bidder. At that time uBid4it Canada gives out the Username and e-mail address of the seller to the high bidder and vice versa. The only other way another User can get your e-mail address is if they use the 'ask a question' feature to ask you a question about an auction and then you reply to them using your email account. uBid4it Canada will never give your e-mail out to any User for any reason except as described above. It will also never be given out to any outside party, except as required by law (such as a police investigation).
Your Real Name - If you sell something at uBid4it Canada, your real name will be given to the high bidder of your auction. If you are the high bidder on an auction, your real name will be given to the seller of that auction. Your name will not be given to any User for any other reason. Your name will also not be given to any outside party, except as required by law.
Your Street Address - This will never be given to any user of this website for any reason. It MAY be given to PayPal, the company who processes our secure credit card transactions, to verify your credit card account and reduce the risk of fraud. Your address will only be given to PayPal if you make a payment via a credit card on this website. You will have to type in your address at that time. Your address will not be given to any other outside party except as required by law (for instance, a police investigation).
Your City, Province, Postal Code - This will automatically show up on any auctions you place at uBid4it Canada. This is a useful feature because then people will know the location of the item they might want to bid on. This location information will therefore be connected with your Username. Your City, Province Postal Code information will never be given out to any User in any other way than stated above. It will also never be given to any outside party accept as required by law (like a police investigation).
Your Phone Number - This will never be given to any user of this website for any reason. It will also never be given to any outside party accept as required by law (like a police investigation).
Your Credit Card Information - This is obviously the most sensitive personal information collected at uBid4it Canada. This information is collected using 128-bit encryption and stored on a secure server. Your credit card information will never be given out to anyone for any reason.
